The Management Board of MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (MEDICLILN) was satisfied with the business development of the 2018 financial year at this year`s press conference. „Group sales and Group EBIT improved year-on-year despite higher personnel expenses “, said Tino Fritz, CFO of MEDICLIN.
Dividend for the 2018 financial year
The members of the Management Board informed about the agreement with the Supervisory Board to propose to the Annual General Meeting on May 29, 2019, the payment of a dividend of 5 euro cents per share.
MEDICLIN will continue to grow
„In the previous year we invested close to 50 million – more than in the years before and we will do so in 2019”, said Volker Hippler, CEO of MEDICLIN and added: “We aim to invest where the demand is increasing and we enlarge our capacities if we can connect acute and post-acute services”.
Two new hospital buildings are to be completed in 2021 and 2022, respectively: At the location Lingen a new hospital building for Neurology, Neurological intensive care and Neurophysiology with about 70 beds for 30 million Euros and at the location Röbel a clinic for child and adolescent psychiatry with in total 56 beds for 20 million Euros. “Both projects are funded by the states, one with 20 million Euros and the other one with 15 million Euros. The common target is to secure the specific medical care in these regions, explained Ulf Ludwig, Member of the Management Board of MEDICLIN.
The capacity expansions and our future growth we will finance partially through cash flow but also using our credit lines“, added the CFO Tino Fritz.
Outlook
For FY 2019 the Management Board forecasts sales growth of 5.0 % to 6.0 % and a Group EBIT above previous year’s level in the range of EUR 22 mill. to EUR 28 mill.
