Offenburg, November 10, 2011 – Today the Supervisory Board of MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (MediClin) has decided to appoint Frank Abele, Chief Financial Officer, to be the Chairman of the Management Board of MediClin. The former Chairman of the Management Board Dr. Ulrich Wandschneider, since November 1st, 2011, Chairman of Corporate Management of AsklepiosKlinikenGroup(Asklepios) stays in the Management Board of MediClin. Since end of September 2011 Asklepios has a majority of shares in MediClin with 52.73%.
The assignment of responsibility forindividualdepartments does not change. Frank Abele is responsible for controlling, finance and accounting, legal affairs/tax, IT, internal audit and procurement/technique; Dr. Ulrich Wandschneider is responsible for strategy and product development, operative clinics management, marketing/sales, contract management, public relations/investor relations, personnel and for quality/risk management.
The Supervisory Board thanks Dr. Ulrich Wandschneider for his performed work and sees in the consistency of the leading duo of MediClin the best precondition to form the cooperation between the two company Groups,MediClinand Asklepios, in an efficient and proceedsincreasing way.
