The results of the internal and external quality assurance measures are a central source of information used by all clinics in the MediClin Group for the purposes of internal quality management. We actively use this information because it supports the expert and quality care of patients and, at the same time, forms the basis for quality-based competition.
All MediClin clinics actively participate in the following nationwide quality assurance programmes from health care coverage providers:
- DRV five-point programme
(external quality assurance programme from the German Pension System) - QS-Reha®
(quality assurance in medical rehabilitation) - Standardised quality assurance in acute inpatient care at a federal and state level
In order to make the quality of those services provided more transparent, the MediClin facilities voluntarily go above and beyond the legal requirements for quality assurance and participate in other specialist quality assurance processes. One example of this is:
- TK EVA-Reha from MDK Rheinland-Pfalz (a project from Techniker Krankenkasse for the evaluation of rehabilitation treatment)
Furthermore, we participate in state-specific quality assurance programmes for selected areas of acute inpatient care, as well as quality assurance measures within the framework of disease management programmes and integrated medical provision contracts.
