Successfully providing services in the health care sector – for us, this means addressing the challenges of a changing health care market.
MediClin has set itself the goal of delivering a high-quality, integrated and specialised range of treatment across the entire sector – from prevention, outpatient care and acute treatment in hospitals through to medical rehabilitation and care. In the process, the achievement of high quality standards is one of MediClin’s company principles.
For us, this means:
- Guaranteeing a high level of quality in processes over the whole treatment chain by analysing, evaluating and optimising central work processes and interfaces.
- The systematic determination and evaluation of treatment results (quality of results).
- The continuous optimisation of required organisational structures to deliver the best possible medical, therapeutic and care provision.
Internal quality management is a key instrument used in the MediClin facilities to continuously guarantee and further develop the quality of services. We place the focus here on the success of the treatment, as well as on the satisfaction of our patients and cooperation partners.

Quality management system
We systematically check central work processes and treatment processes both internally and externally, as well as the whole system for guaranteeing and further developing our treatment services. In this way, we continuously improve our services for the welfare of our patients.
Integrated quality management
The basis for the internal quality management system used in the MediClin facilities is the requirements according to the internationally valid quality management standard DIN EN ISO 9001. These are supplemented by sector-specific programmes for acute medicine (KTQ criteria catalogue), rehabilitation (IQMP rehabilitation) and care.

Quality management at MediClin
Gaining an employee perspective is an important component of quality management at MediClin. In order to sustainably guarantee work safety and employee health, we also integrate the quality management requirements from the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association for Health Care and Welfare (MAAS-BGW) into the established quality management system.
In addition, we integrate indicator-specific quality standards into structures depending on the relevant location. This includes, for example, the quality requirements of the German Diabetes Association (DDG) or the “quality criteria for health-conscious nutrition and balanced diets in clinics” (RAL).
Quality management is supplemented by a company-wide risk management system that enables the systematic identification, evaluation and control of potential risks. This allows us to react early to any relevant developments and, therefore, to avoid mistakes or to minimise their effects.
Quality management structures
We view the establishment and further development of the internal management system as a clear responsibility for the company’s management team. Therefore, the clinic or facility management holds an important role in this area and is supported by a Quality Management Officer.
The central Quality, Organisation & Revision Department at MediClin supports, trains and advises MediClin’s Quality Management Officers. Group-wide quality projects are developed and controlled in unison. In addition, regular work conferences and reciprocal audits are organised. An interactive intranet platform also ensures the Group-wide transfer of know-how in the area of quality management
