Psychiatry comprises the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of mental illnesses. It is characterised today by modern, multi-modal treatment approaches, which take into account all areas of the patient’s life in the process. The patients are treated as partners and have the right to refuse treatment or elements of the treatment.
The goal of treatment is not only to heal but also to improve the patient’s quality of life. In order to fulfil these tasks, the psychiatric facilities at MediClin remain in constant dialogue with all complementary services that are entrusted with caring for mentally ill people outside of the clinic.
The psychiatric facilities at MediClin are aligned to the concrete requirements of our patients. Different medical services are available at a total of six locations. Alongside inpatient facilities, this also includes day clinics, psychiatric outpatient institutes and facilities designed especially for children and young people. This diverse range delivers two things that are of decisive importance in psychiatric circles: services close to people’s homes and low-threshold medical provision.
